About The Position
Medical Assistants are essential members of the clinic team and contribute to patient care by assisting with exams and procedures, organizing and managing patient flow, and taking on other responsibilities based on departmental needs. This role will be utilized in different units within the Moffitt Ambulatory Center (MAC) to help ensure quality patient care and meet appropriate staffing needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Certification or registration from one of the following organizations: American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA), American Medical Technologist (RMA), National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA), National Healthcareer Association (CCMA), or National Association for Health Professionals (NRCMA).
Nice To Haves
- Successful completion of a Medical Assistant training program or applicable military medical training.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient exams and procedures.
- Organize and manage patient flow.
- Perform other responsibilities based on departmental needs.
- Work in different units within the Moffitt Ambulatory Center to support quality patient care and staffing needs.
