About The Position

Spring Haven Senior Living is seeking compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Medication Technicians (Med Techs) to join our Resident Care team. As a Med Tech, you'll play a vital role in supporting our residents' health, safety, and quality of life. You'll work closely with our nursing and caregiving teams to ensure medications are administered accurately while providing the exceptional care and service our residents deserve. Spring Haven Senior Living is one of Central Florida's premier senior living communities, encompassing 299 apartments across nearly 300,000 square feet of living, dining, and community space. Requirements

  • Current Florida Med Tech Certification or ability to obtain certification as required
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous Med Tech, Caregiver, PCA, HHA, CNA, or healthcare experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist residents throughout the workday
  • Ability to provide compassionate and professional resident care
  • Ability to pass a Level 2 Background Check
  • Ability to pass a drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders and community policies
  • Accurately document medication administration and resident care
  • Observe residents and promptly report changes in condition
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living when needed
  • Maintain medication carts, medication records, and inventory
  • Support resident safety, health, and well-being
  • Communicate effectively with nurses, caregivers, residents, and families
  • Follow all state regulations, company policies, and safety procedures
  • Deliver compassionate, respectful, and resident-centered care
