About The Position

Solterra Senior Living at Chandler is seeking Certified Medication Aides to care for residents under the direction and supervision of the Assisted Living Director. The full-time role offers schedules of 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, or 10:00 pm to 6:00 am. The position involves supporting residents with medication reminders, activities of daily living, restorative nursing services, dementia care, and emotional and social support while contributing to resident assessment and care planning.

Requirements

Must be a Certified Medication Aide in the State of Arizona.
High school diploma or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Take and record vital signs.
Measure and record residents’ height and weight.
Calculate and record fluid intake and output.
Recognize abnormal changes in residents’ body functioning and report them to a supervisor.
Assist as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
Transfer, position, and turn residents.
Provide skin care.
Contribute to resident assessments and plans of care.
Provide nursing rehabilitation and restorative nursing services.
Care for residents with dementia.
Follow the schedule of residents’ needs set out by the supervisor.
Provide emotional and social support to residents.
Promote and protect resident rights; support informed decisions; treat residents with dignity and respect; protect personal belongings; report suspected abuse or neglect; avoid physical restraints in accordance with current professional standards; and support independent expression, choice, and decision-making consistent with applicable law and regulation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
