About The Position

The Certified Caregiver provides residents of an assisted living community with support in activities of daily living, including grooming, bathing, and maintaining their personal environment. The role also transports residents within the community, responds safely and promptly to emergency calls and requests, follows resident care plans, and obtains vital signs.

This is a part-time position scheduled Friday and Saturday from 2–10 p.m.

Requirements

• Valid Arizona Caregiver Certificate.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state educational requirements for the position.
• CPR certification.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with an elderly population is preferred.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming and bathing, and help maintain their personal environment.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident and visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
• Review and adhere to resident care plans.
• Obtain vital signs.
