About The Position

The Certified Caregiver provides assistance to residents in an assisted living community. Responsibilities include helping residents with activities of daily living, transporting them within the community, responding promptly and safely to emergencies and requests, following resident care plans, and obtaining vital signs. The position is part-time and scheduled Friday and Saturday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Requirements

• Valid Arizona Caregiver Certificate.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state educational requirements for the position.
• CPR certification.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with an elderly population is preferred.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming, bathing, and maintaining their personal environment.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident and visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
• Review and adhere to resident care plans and obtain vital signs.
