About The Position

The Certified Caregiver assists residents in an assisted living community with activities of daily living, including grooming, bathing, and maintaining their personal environment. The role also transports residents within the community and responds promptly and safely to emergency calls, resident or visitor requests, and environmental hazards. Caregivers review and follow resident care plans and obtain vital signs. The schedule is full-time, Sunday through Thursday, 2–10 p.m.

Requirements

• Valid Arizona Caregiver Certificate.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state educational requirements for the position.
• CPR certification.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with an elderly population is preferred.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming, bathing, and maintaining their personal environment.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident and visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
• Review and adhere to resident care plans.
• Obtain residents’ vital signs.
