About The Position

BAYADA is recruiting a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide per-visit care to patients in the New Bern area. Following a written plan of care from a registered nurse, the CNA provides personal care, household support, and companion care to help adults remain safe and independent at home. The role involves one-on-one support with activities of daily living and building close relationships with clients. The position offers training, flexible scheduling, clinical support, and participation in a larger care team.

Requirements

At least one year of work experience.
Successful completion of a recognized CNA training course and certification to work as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Passion for caregiving, private home care, and helping others.
Commitment to being present and providing quality care.
Empathy, patience, kindness, and respect.
Ability to travel to clients’ homes as assigned.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care, household support, and companion care according to a written plan of care from a registered nurse.
Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and nail care.
Provide light housekeeping, laundry, and bed making.
Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
Assist with range-of-motion exercises.
Assist with ambulation, transfers, and use of mechanical lifting devices.
Provide medication reminders.
Check vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respiration.
Travel to clients’ homes as assigned.
Deliver care with compassion, excellence, and reliability.
