Center Store Associate
About The Position
The Center Store Associate works independently to display and stock products while contributing to the store’s financial interests. The role supports a positive guest experience and follows company safety and food-safety guidelines. Associates may also be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer-experience needs, and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. The position is based at 103 N. Grove, Box 206, Delton, Michigan 49046. The work takes place in a typical retail store environment with varied temperatures and possible exposure to outside weather conditions. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Attention to detail.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Retail or related experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist with receiving, unloading, and stacking merchandise in the back room.
- Fill, rotate, and merchandise products on shelves, in cases, and in sales-floor displays.
- Notify the manager when products or supplies need to be ordered.
- Maintain familiarity with department products and their locations in the store.
- Handle spoiled or damaged products according to established guidelines.
- Maintain clean, attractive, and well-stocked departments.
- Follow personal protective equipment and safety guidelines.
- Follow food-safety and cleaning expectations.
- Follow guest-experience guidelines.
- Perform tasks in other departments when needed to support customer experience.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
