About The Position
The Center Store Associate works independently to display and stock products while contributing to the financial best interest of the store. The role supports a positive guest experience and follows company safety and food safety guidelines. The associate may work in other departments based on customer experience needs and may be assigned additional responsibilities as needed. The position is performed in a typical retail store environment with varied temperatures and possible exposure to outside weather conditions. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Detail oriented.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Retail or related experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist in receiving, unloading, and stacking merchandise in the back room.
- Fill, rotate, and merchandise shelves, cases, and displays on the sales floor.
- Notify the manager when products and supplies need to be ordered.
- Maintain familiarity with department products and their locations in the store.
- Handle spoiled or damaged products according to established guidelines.
- Maintain clean, attractive, and well-stocked departments.
- Follow personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety guidelines.
- Follow food safety and cleaning expectations.
- Follow guest experience guidelines.
- Perform tasks in other departments based on customer experience needs when assigned.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
