Center Store Associate
About The Position
The Center Store Associate works independently to display and stock products and contribute to the financial best interest of the store. The role includes meeting company guidelines for guest experience and complying with safety and food safety guidelines. Associates may also be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience needs, and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. The position is performed in a typical retail store environment with varied temperatures and exposure to outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually low to moderate, and travel requirements vary by assignment.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Retail or related experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist in receiving, unloading, and stacking merchandise in the back room.
- Fill, rotate, and merchandise shelves, cases, and displays on the sales floor.
- Notify the manager when products and supplies need to be ordered.
- Maintain familiarity with products carried in the departments and their locations in the store.
- Handle spoiled or damaged products according to established guidelines.
- Maintain clean, attractive, and well-stocked departments.
- Follow PPE and safety guidelines.
- Follow food safety and cleaning expectations.
- Follow guest experience guidelines.
- Perform tasks in other departments based on customer experience needs when assigned.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
