About The Position

As a member of SpartanNash, the Center Store Associate works independently to display and stock products in support of the store’s financial interests. The role is responsible for meeting company guidelines for guest experience and complying with safety and food safety guidelines. The position is based at 1527 Bashor Rd., Goshen, Indiana 46528. The associate works in a typical retail store environment with varied temperatures, may be exposed to outside weather conditions, and generally encounters low to moderate noise. Travel requirements vary by assignment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Retail or related experience preferred.
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
Basic mathematical skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.

Responsibilities

Assist in receiving, unloading, and stacking merchandise in the back room.
Fill, rotate, and merchandise shelves, cases, and displays on the sales floor.
Notify the manager when products or supplies need to be ordered.
Maintain familiarity with department products and their locations in the store.
Handle spoiled or damaged products according to established guidelines.
Maintain clean, attractive, and well-stocked departments.
Follow personal protective equipment and safety guidelines.
Follow food safety and cleaning expectations.
Follow guest experience guidelines.
Perform tasks in other departments as assigned based on customer experience needs.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
