About The Position

U-GRO HACC Harrisburg is hiring a Center Director to lead preschool operations and positively impact children and their families. The Director promotes children’s social, physical, and intellectual growth; works with staff to create a warm, inspiring environment; and keeps parents informed and engaged. The role includes managing and developing staff, supporting implementation of the company-provided curriculum, ensuring compliance with company and state licensing standards, building positive community partnerships, and recruiting and retaining quality staff.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Must meet state education requirements and the center/school requirements.
• 1–2 years of supervisory or management experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in early childhood education is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan staff work schedules, evaluate staff performance, and develop performance improvement plans.
• Assist with implementing the company-provided curriculum by coaching teachers, communicating standards, and interpreting standards for them.
• Ensure the school operates in accordance with company standards and state licensing requirements.
• Promote positive partnerships within the surrounding community.
• Help provide children with an educational, caring, and safe environment that encourages imagination, self-esteem, and discovery.
• Recruit, select, and retain quality staff.
• Promote children’s social, physical, and intellectual growth.
• Keep parents informed and engaged.
