About The Position

The Center Director, also referred to as the Principal/Child Care Director, helps represent Everbrook as a premier child care brand and uphold high business and professional standards. The role is responsible for effective school operations, children’s safety, staff supervision, and delivery of quality early education programming. The Director manages and develops staff, supports implementation of the company curriculum, ensures compliance with company and state licensing standards, and builds positive community partnerships. The role also drives enrollment and marketing through grassroots strategies, community outreach, and local partnerships, while fostering an educational, caring, and safe environment for children.

Requirements

• Must be Director qualified according to state licensing regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• New York State teacher certification required.
• 1–2 years of supervisory or management experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in early childhood education is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage school staff by planning work schedules, evaluating performance, and developing performance improvement plans.
• Assist with implementation of the company-provided curriculum by coaching teachers, communicating standards, and interpreting standards.
• Ensure the school operates in accordance with company and state licensing standards.
• Promote positive partnerships within the surrounding community.
• Drive enrollment and market Everbrook Academy through grassroots marketing, community outreach, and local partnerships.
• Recruit, select, and retain quality staff.
• Support an educational, caring, and safe environment where children can build self-esteem, use their imagination, and discover new things.
