About The Position
As a Center Cook, you will prepare healthy and delicious meals for breakfast, lunch, and snacks to support the nutrition and well-being of children. You will help ensure food safety and keep the kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly. Cooks who are interested may also spend time in the classroom, supporting teachers and engaging in classroom activities; classroom participation is welcomed but not required. The position is at the Kildeer, Illinois center and is offered full-time or part-time, with a pay range of $17.50 to $20.00 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to work within regular operating hours.
- Must meet state criteria for child care employment.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of food preparation experience preferred.
- ServSafe Food Manager certification preferred.
- Child and Adult Food Care Program (CACFP) experience preferred.
