About The Position

The Center Cook prepares healthy, delicious meals for breakfast, lunch, and snacks at a child care center. The role focuses on nutrition and food safety, as well as keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly. Cooks who are interested may also spend time in the classroom supporting teachers and engaging in activities with children; classroom participation is not required. The position is listed as full-time or part-time and is based in Kildeer, Illinois.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of food preparation experience.
• ServSafe Food Manager certification.
• Child and Adult Food Care Program (CACFP) experience.
