About The Position

The Center Clinical Director coaches and manages a high-performing Pod of Licensed Behavior Analysts (LBAs), Lead RBTs, RBTs, Center Coordinators, and Field Team Supervisors and collaborates with multiple departments at Ascend to deliver high quality clinical and customer experiences for clients and families living with autism through their ABA journey with Ascend. This Center Clinical Director primarily supports our center based clients and staff and center function.

  • Arizona Licensed Behavior Analyst Certification in good standing.
  • Able to be Licensed in all states in which Ascend works (required).
  • Reside in the Ascend service area you will be supporting.
  • Able to drive to families’ homes to support your LBA team as well as our center in Centennial.
  • Maintain Licensure/Credential & CAQH Attestation every 90 days and APEP every 3 years.
  • Able to pass a background check, obtain fingerprint clearance card, and qualified to work in the US.

Nice To Haves

  • Licensure in all states in which Ascend works (preferred).
  • 5+ years experience case supervising clients ages 1.5-18 (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Provide management and coaching to your Pod (team of 10 LBAs, Field Team Supervisor, Lead RBTs, Center Coordinator and RBTs) to accelerate clients’ clinical outcomes.
  • Partner with your LBAs to optimize their clinical quality and leverage Ascend’s quality systems and tools.
  • Oversee your Pod’s teams and client relationships and ensure that positive relationships and satisfaction are maintained by engaging in person and via telehealth.
  • Help team members navigate crucial conversations with colleagues, families, and peers.
  • Provide leadership coaching and training as indicated based on LBA/supervisor need.
  • Provide clinical case conceptualization and specific programming support as needed.
  • Function as the coaching manager for LBAs and Field Team Supervisors on your team, including conducting interviews to make hiring decisions, delivering feedback and shaping behavior, up to and including termination.
  • Provide performance management and create career pathing opportunities for all members on your team.
  • Directly supervise a client caseload until the center grows enough to hire a hybrid Center / In-Home LBA.
  • Adapt existing Ascend center best practices & SOPs to function effectively at the Center, creating new SOPs and systems as needed.
  • Maintain proper staffing levels for your Pod by regularly reviewing capacity and utilization of staff, dosage fulfillment and upcoming assessments, as well as all at risk staff to determine hiring needs.
  • Assist with staffing requisitions for your Pod and collaborate with the Field Team Supervisors and Operations Team to ensure proper utilization of new hires.
  • Serve as the highest level of escalation for decisions affecting your Pod and seek guidance and support from the Clinical Director Team as necessary.
  • Partner with parents and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide innovative, high quality solutions for client outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Family Support Team and Client Intake team to ensure high quality systems in support of family communications, schedules and other needs as necessary.
  • Conduct clinical consultation calls with prospective families as needed.
  • Collaborate with Operations team to assign ABA Assessments for your Pod.
  • Provide feedback to help development policies and procedures as needed.
  • Follow internal communication plans to communicate internal and external information appropriately.
  • Develop the next generation of LBAs by managing Ascend’s RBT Fieldwork and Residency programs.
  • Conduct LBA training and onboarding, leveraging LBA Trainers to assist.
  • Oversee Ascend’s RBT Levels and Badges to ensure all RBTs are being supported in their individual learning journey and skills acquisition.
  • Create and deliver new trainings and CEU opportunities to further advance the skills and knowledge of your team.
  • Provide tactical support as needed.
  • Cover or redistribute supervision responsibilities for LBAs out on PTO longer than 3 days.
