About The Position

The Cemetery Groundskeeper at Everstory Partners is responsible for the care, maintenance, and repair of cemetery property, as well as the safety and security of employees and visitors. The role requires a reliable, detail-oriented person who provides a high level of service to customers and supports funeral services. The position may involve working evenings, weekends, and some holidays as needed.

Requirements

• High school equivalency required.
• At least 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery.
• Ability to read and carry out memos and directives from a supervisor or management.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• Availability to work some holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Demonstrates compassion, customer focus, and ethics and values.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance, including weed-whacking and lawn mowing.
• Maintain equipment.
• Perform functions related to funeral services.
• Operate machinery safely and appropriately.
• Install or assist with installing cemetery vaults.
• Install headstones or memorials as needed.
• Handle day-to-day general maintenance duties.
• Perform snow removal when applicable.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the Grounds Superintendent.
