About The Position

The Cemetery Groundskeeper at Floral Hills Memorial in Covington, Kentucky, is responsible for caring for, maintaining, and repairing cemetery property and helping ensure the safety and security of employees and visitors. The role requires a dedicated, reliable, detail-oriented person who provides a high level of service to customers. Duties include landscape maintenance, equipment upkeep, funeral-service support, safe machinery operation, installing cemetery vaults and memorials, general maintenance, and snow removal when applicable. The role reports to the Grounds Superintendent for assigned duties.

Requirements

• High school equivalency required.
• At least 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery.
• Ability to read and execute memos and directives from a supervisor or management.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• Availability to work some holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance, including weed-whacking and lawn mowing.
• Maintain equipment.
• Perform functions related to funeral services.
• Operate machinery safely and appropriately.
• Install or assist with installing cemetery vaults.
• Install headstones or memorials as needed.
• Handle day-to-day general maintenance duties.
• Perform snow removal, if applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Grounds Superintendent.
• Help maintain the safety and security of employees and visitors at the location.
• Provide customer service consistent with the company’s service expectations.
