About The Position

The Cemetery Groundskeeper at Everstory Partners cares for, maintains, and repairs cemetery property while helping ensure the safety and security of employees and visitors. The role requires a dedicated, reliable, hard-working person who values attention to detail and providing high-quality customer service. The Groundskeeper performs landscape and general maintenance, maintains and safely operates equipment and machinery, supports funeral-service functions, and installs or assists with cemetery vaults and memorials. Snow removal may be required when applicable. The role reports to the Grounds Superintendent for assigned duties.

Requirements

High school equivalency.
At least 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
Ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery.
Ability to read and execute memos and directives from a supervisor or management.
Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
Valid state driver’s license.
Demonstrates compassion, customer focus, and ethics and values.

Responsibilities

Perform landscape maintenance, including weed-whacking and lawn mowing.
Maintain equipment.
Perform functions related to funeral services.
Operate machinery safely and appropriately.
Install or assist in installing cemetery vaults.
Install headstones or memorials as needed.
Perform day-to-day general maintenance duties.
Perform snow removal when applicable.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Grounds Superintendent.
Help maintain the safety and security of employees and visitors at the location.
Provide customer service to internal and external customers.
