About The Position

The Cemetery Groundskeeper at Everstory Partners is responsible for the care, maintenance, and repair of cemetery property, and for helping ensure the safety and security of employees and visitors. The role requires a reliable, detail-oriented person committed to providing a high level of service to customers. Duties include landscape maintenance, equipment upkeep, funeral-service support, safe machinery operation, cemetery vault and memorial installation, general maintenance, and snow removal when applicable. The Groundskeeper also performs other duties as assigned by the Grounds Superintendent.

Requirements

• High school equivalency required.
• At least 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery.
• Ability to read and carry out memos and directives from a supervisor or management.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks while handling interruptions.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• Availability to work some holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Demonstrates compassion, customer focus, and ethics and values.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance, including weed-whacking and lawn mowing.
• Maintain equipment.
• Perform functions related to funeral services.
• Operate machinery safely and appropriately.
• Install or assist with installing cemetery vaults.
• Install headstones or memorials as needed.
• Perform day-to-day general maintenance duties.
• Remove snow when applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Grounds Superintendent.
