About The Position

The Cemetery Groundskeeper at Everstory Partners is responsible for the care, maintenance, and repair of cemetery property, as well as helping ensure the safety and security of employees and visitors. The role includes landscaping, equipment maintenance, general property maintenance, supporting funeral services, operating machinery safely, installing or assisting with cemetery vaults, and installing headstones or memorials. Snow removal may also be required where applicable. The Groundskeeper performs other duties as assigned by the Grounds Superintendent. The position calls for a dedicated, reliable, hard-working individual who is attentive to detail and committed to providing a high level of customer service. The role requires compassion, customer focus, and adherence to ethical values. It requires a high school equivalency, at least two years of maintenance or related experience, the ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery, and a valid state driver’s license. The employee must be able to lift up to 80 pounds and be available to work some holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed. The position is full-time, with an advertised pay range of $18.00–$20.00 per hour. Requirements

High school equivalency required.
At least 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
Ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery.
Ability to read and execute memos and directives from a supervisor or management.
Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
Valid state driver’s license required.
Availability to work some holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Perform landscape maintenance duties, including weed-whacking and lawn mowing.
Maintain equipment.
Perform functions related to funeral services.
Operate machinery safely and appropriately.
Install or assist in installing cemetery vaults.
Install headstones or memorials as needed.
Perform day-to-day general maintenance duties.
Perform snow removal where applicable.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Grounds Superintendent.
Help care for, maintain, and repair the property and support the safety and security of employees and visitors.
