About The Position

The Cemetery Groundskeeper at Everstory Partners’ Floral Hills Memorial in Covington, Kentucky, cares for, maintains, and repairs the property and helps ensure the safety and security of employees and visitors. The role requires attention to detail, reliability, hard work, and a commitment to providing a high level of customer service. The Groundskeeper performs landscape and general maintenance, maintains and safely operates equipment and machinery, supports funeral services, installs or assists with cemetery vaults, installs headstones or memorials as needed, and removes snow when applicable. The position may require work on some holidays, evenings, and weekends. The role reports to the Grounds Superintendent for assigned duties. Compensation is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

High school equivalency required.
At least 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
Ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery.
Ability to read and execute memos and directives from a supervisor or management.
Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
Valid state driver’s license.
Availability to work some holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed.
Demonstrates compassion, customer focus, and ethics and values.

Responsibilities

Perform landscape maintenance, including weed-whacking and lawn mowing.
Maintain equipment.
Perform functions related to funeral services.
Operate machinery appropriately and safely.
Install or assist in installing cemetery vaults.
Install headstones or memorials as needed.
Handle day-to-day general maintenance duties.
Perform snow removal when applicable.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Grounds Superintendent.
Help maintain the safety and security of employees and visitors at the location.
