About The Position

The Cemetery Groundskeeper at Everstory Partners is responsible for caring for, maintaining, and repairing cemetery property, while supporting the safety and security of employees and visitors. The role requires a dedicated, reliable, detail-oriented person who provides a high level of service to customers. Duties include landscape maintenance, equipment upkeep, funeral-service functions, safe machinery operation, cemetery vault and memorial installation, general maintenance, and snow removal when applicable. The Groundskeeper also performs other duties assigned by the Grounds Superintendent.

Requirements

• High school equivalency.
• At least 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery.
• Ability to read and execute memos and directives from a supervisor and/or management.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance duties, including weed-whacking and lawn mowing.
• Maintain equipment.
• Perform functions related to funeral services.
• Operate machinery safely and appropriately.
• Install or assist in installing cemetery vaults.
• Install headstones or memorials as needed.
• Handle day-to-day general maintenance duties.
• Perform snow removal when applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Grounds Superintendent.
