CDL Truck Driver
About The Position
As a CDL Truck Driver employed by Ice Solutions, you will complete assigned duties in a timely and efficient manner and perform quality work that meets customer and owner expectations. The role requires extensive knowledge of driving and hauling materials and equipment, organization, dependable attendance, strong time management, and a high level of customer service. Drivers must communicate clearly with peers and management, follow applicable laws and regulations, and maintain a safety-minded approach. Ice Solutions equipment is equipped with GPS tracking, electronic logs, and dashcams with event detection. Travel is as needed and may include overnight stays.
Requirements
- Background in driving and hauling materials and equipment.
- Experience with bulk hopper trailers, tanks, equipment trailers (flatbed, detach, and step-deck), bulk tanks, and tank trailers.
- Experience in bulk transportation and equipment hauling.
- Must be at least 25 years old.
- Current Class A CDL, DOT medical exam, and Commercial Motor Vehicle Certification with tank endorsement; hazmat endorsement is not required.
- Fluent in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Ability to quickly learn new database programs and proficiently navigate communication platforms such as GPS mobile applications.
- Moderate proficiency in Microsoft Suite programs.
- Organized, dependable, customer-service-oriented, and able to manage time effectively.
- Safety-minded and able to follow applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Follow supervisors’ instructions to make deliveries to assigned locations.
- Deliver salt and brine and haul other materials and equipment.
- Report equipment issues and unsafe conditions.
- Follow safety procedures when using equipment.
- Operate equipment, load materials, and secure loads safely.
- Complete duties assigned by management in a timely and safe manner.
- Maintain a professional driving attitude.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
