CDL Truck Driver

About The Position

This position is responsible for transporting product for The Arthur Companies. The driver operates company-owned or leased trucks, follows applicable commercial driving regulations and traffic laws, and maintains required reporting, certifications, and safety practices. The role also includes inspecting and maintaining the truck, securing the trailer during transit, and loading or unloading product as needed. Requirements

CDL Class A license with a medical card.
Acceptable driving record.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
Ability to work in dust.
Ability to open traps on trailers and trucks.
Ability to climb a ladder of varying heights.

Nice To Haves

Three years of driving experience preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Operate company-owned and/or leased trucks.
Complete all required reporting.
Maintain certifications required by DOT, OSHA, and company safety programs.
Maintain company property in excellent condition.
Inspect the truck before and after trips and request repairs as needed.
Read bills of lading to determine assignments.
Secure the trailer during transit.
Assist with or take individual responsibility for loading or unloading the truck.
Service the truck with oil, fuel, and other required fluids.
Drive in accordance with commercial driving regulations and applicable traffic laws.
Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
