About The Position
Reston Limousine is hiring a CDL Shuttle Operations Supervisor based at its headquarters in Sterling, Virginia. The supervisor motivates and manages drivers from diverse cultures and personalities, ensuring that contract requirements are met and DOT rules and regulations are followed. The role includes managing daily contract operations and drivers, resolving operational issues, and filling in for drivers when there are call-outs or vacant routes. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
Requirements
- Valid Class A or B CDL with Passenger endorsement.
- Valid DOT medical card.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three years of supervisory experience in a transportation setting.
- More than two years of CDL driving experience.
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations, vehicles, equipment, maintenance, and company policies and procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day contract requirements to ensure compliance.
- Manage drivers, including ensuring punctuality, route adherence, and dress-code compliance, and reviewing driver paperwork and daily passenger logs.
- Troubleshoot daily situations and develop strategic solutions.
- Fill in for drivers in the event of call-outs or vacant routes.
- Motivate the team while ensuring a high level of service and adherence to DOT rules and regulations.
