About The Position

POOLCORP is hiring a local CDL Delivery Driver in Kennesaw, Georgia. Drivers make safe, complete, accurate, and timely deliveries to customers while following Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR), and other applicable requirements. Deliveries are local, and drivers are home every night. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with at least 40 hours per week guaranteed, whether or not weather allows deliveries. The position pays $25 per hour plus bonuses.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years old.
Have a valid commercial driver's license; a HAZMAT endorsement is preferred.
Have an MVR and Pre-Employment Screening Program (PSP) record showing no more than two combined violations or at-fault accidents in the past three years.
Be able to maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
Have excellent customer service skills.
Have good written and verbal communication skills.
Be able to carry out instructions with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with PCs and material-handling equipment.
Moffett, Skelly, or air brake experience.

Responsibilities

Make deliveries using effective routes to ensure orders arrive on time.
Load and unload the vehicle, secure products properly, and separate hazardous materials appropriately.
Collect payments and accurately document deliveries.
Comply with state and federal regulations, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR).
Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and notify a supervisor of needed maintenance.
Keep the vehicle clean, well-maintained, and presentable.
Continue to develop job and product knowledge.
Perform other duties as assigned.
