About The Position

Roberts Oxygen is hiring a local route delivery driver in Greenville, South Carolina, to deliver industrial, medical, and specialty gases and equipment. The driver makes safe, timely, and accurate deliveries, builds customer relationships, and works closely with internal production teams. The role involves operating company trucks and equipment and handling high-pressure and cryogenic cylinders and palletized goods. Drivers use computer-generated route and sequence plans and handheld computers for customer transactions and compliance paperwork. After-hours, weekend, holiday, and on-call work may be required as business needs dictate.

Requirements

• Current Class A or Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, or willingness to obtain the endorsements.
• Ability to lift 100 pounds.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Excellent driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings if selected.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company trucks and equipment.
• Represent the company and build customer relationships through excellent, appropriate customer interactions.
• Read maps and select suitable routes while following computer-generated route and sequence delivery plans.
• Use handheld computers to complete customer transaction paperwork and compliance requirements.
• Handle, maneuver, load, and organize high-pressure and cryogenic cylinders and palletized hard goods on trucks and trailers.
• Cover after-hours, weekend, holiday, and on-call work as business requires.
• Follow company policies and procedures and applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
