About The Position

Roberts Oxygen is hiring a local route delivery driver in Greenville, South Carolina. The driver makes safe, timely, and accurate deliveries of industrial, medical, and specialty gases and equipment while building customer relationships and working with internal production teams. This role involves operating a company truck and equipment, following computer-generated routes, using handheld computers for transactions and compliance, and handling cylinders and palletized goods. Drivers may need to cover after-hours, weekend, holiday, and on-call work as business requires.

Requirements

• Current Class A or Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, or willingness to obtain the endorsements.
• Ability to lift 100 pounds.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Excellent driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings if selected.
• Reliable and experienced driving; ability to work independently and perform physically active duties while maintaining safety, accuracy, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company trucks and equipment.
• Represent the company and build customer relationships through appropriate, high-quality interactions.
• Read maps and select routes to delivery locations; follow computer-generated route and delivery sequence plans.
• Use handheld computers for customer transaction paperwork and compliance needs.
• Handle, maneuver, load, and organize high-pressure and cryogenic cylinders and palletized hard goods on trucks and trailers.
• Cover after-hours, weekend, holiday, and on-call work as business requires.
• Follow company policies and procedures and applicable local, state, and federal regulations and laws.
