About The Position

Roberts Oxygen is hiring a local route delivery CDL Driver in Richmond, Virginia. The driver makes safe, timely, and accurate deliveries of gases, cylinders, equipment, and other goods, while maintaining strong customer relationships and coordinating with internal production teams. Drivers use company trucks and equipment, computer-generated route and sequence plans, and handheld computers for customer transactions and compliance paperwork. The role involves physically handling high-pressure and cryogenic cylinders and palletized goods. After-hours, weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage may be required as business needs dictate.

Requirements

• Current Class A or Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, or willingness to obtain the endorsements.
• Ability to lift 100 pounds.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Excellent driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings if selected.

• Prior experience as a reliable Class A or Class B CDL driver is presented as a distinguishing quality.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company trucks and equipment.
• Represent Roberts Oxygen and build customer relationships through appropriate, professional interactions.
• Read maps and select routes to delivery locations while following computer-generated route and sequence plans.
• Use handheld computers for customer transaction paperwork and compliance needs.
• Handle, maneuver, load, and organize high-pressure and cryogenic cylinders and palletized goods on trucks and trailers.
• Cover after-hours, weekend, holiday, and on-call work as business requires.
• Follow company policies and procedures and applicable local, state, and federal regulations and laws.
