About The Position

POOLCORP is hiring a local CDL A driver to make safe, complete, accurate, and on-time deliveries to customers in compliance with Department of Transportation and other applicable regulations. Deliveries are local, and drivers are home every night. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.; drivers are guaranteed at least 40 hours per week even when weather prevents deliveries. The role is safety-sensitive and requires successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background verifications.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years old.
Have a valid commercial driver's license; a HAZMAT endorsement is preferred.
Have no more than two combined violations or at-fault accidents in the past three years, as indicated by the Motor Vehicle Record and Pre-Employment Screening Program.
Be able to maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
Have excellent customer service skills.
Have good written and verbal communication skills.
Be able to carry out instructions with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with PCs and other material handling equipment.
Moffett, Skelly, or air brake experience.

Responsibilities

Make deliveries using effective routes to ensure orders arrive on time.
Load and unload the vehicle, secure products, and separate hazardous materials appropriately.
Collect payments and accurately document deliveries.
Comply with state and federal regulations, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report needed maintenance to a supervisor.
Keep the vehicle clean, well-maintained, and presentable.
Continue to increase job and product knowledge.
Perform other duties as assigned.
