About The Position

Ferguson is hiring a CDL Driver to deliver materials to customers and support warehouse operations. The position offers a Monday–Friday, first-shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with daily home time and no scheduled nights or weekends. Overtime is expected, and the role is eligible for a safe-driver incentive and bonus or incentive plan. Starting pay is stated as $25 or more depending on experience; the posting also lists an estimated hourly range of $19.26–$30.76, with starting wages potentially higher in some locations. The driver delivers materials, handles customer returns, performs vehicle inspections, and follows company and DOT safety requirements. The role also assists with warehouse tasks such as preparing orders and receiving, staging, and stocking materials. Pre-employment drug and background screening are required.

Requirements

Hold a valid CDL A or B.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Meet and maintain qualifications for CDL requirements.
Follow all DOT standards and regulations.
Currently have, acquire, and/or maintain a valid DOT Medical card to meet driver requirements.
Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
Ability to navigate and operate basic technology, including iPads.
Complete required pre-employment drug and background screening.

Nice To Haves

Hazmat endorsement preferred.
Background in warehouse operations and logistics, including shipping, receiving, and delivery.

Responsibilities

Deliver materials to customers, using a pallet jack and two-wheel dolly to load and unload, and ensure the delivery ticket accompanies the material.
Pick up customer returns and validate that products match credit requests.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report problems or issues to a supervisor.
Follow and implement all company safety policies and procedures.
Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment as needed.
Receive, verify, stage, and stock incoming material.
Work overtime as needed.
Adhere to safety regulations and correctly use personal protective equipment, including a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs.
