About The Position

ABC Supply is hiring a CDL Delivery Truck Driver to make ground and rooftop deliveries and ensure each delivery is completed safely. The role involves following assigned schedules and job directives, documenting deliveries with a camera phone system, checking and securing truck loads, and ensuring the vehicle complies with applicable regulations. Drivers work with Delivery Material Handlers to determine material placement and unload deliveries. The position may also include warehouse tasks such as loading and unloading materials. It does not require over-the-road travel, and drivers are home every night.

Requirements

Valid Class A or Class B CDL.
Ability to repeatedly lift 75–100 pounds.
Ability and willingness to work on rooftops.
Must complete a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens.

Responsibilities

Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Maintain a safe work zone at each job site.
Follow the assigned delivery schedule and job directives precisely.
Document each step of every delivery by taking and uploading photos with the camera phone system.
Complete a thorough truck load check before leaving the branch, securing all materials and ensuring the truck complies with federal, state, and local regulations.
Work with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where to place materials and unload them.
Complete and file logs and required government paperwork accurately and on time.
Provide customers with an invoice upon completion of each delivery and collect the full amount due for COD deliveries.
Perform warehouse work as assigned, including loading and unloading materials onto or off trucks or into the warehouse.
