About The Position

Ferguson Enterprises is hiring a CDL A Delivery Truck Driver in Salem, Oregon. The role combines customer deliveries with warehouse duties. The driver delivers materials, handles customer returns, inspects and maintains the truck, follows safety procedures, and supports warehouse order preparation and receiving. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some overtime as needed. The posting highlights that drivers can be home daily and have no nights or weekends.

Requirements

Hold a valid CDL A.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Meet and maintain qualifications for CDL requirements.
Follow all DOT standards and regulations.
Currently have, acquire, and/or maintain a valid DOT Medical card to meet driver requirements.
Be able to lift items weighing over 50 pounds.
Be a strong communicator with a customer-focused approach.
Be able to navigate and operate basic technology, including iPads.
Pass pre-employment drug and background screening.

Nice To Haves

2–5 years of commercial truck driving experience.
Forklift experience.
A background in warehouse operations and logistics, including shipping, receiving, and delivery.

Responsibilities

Deliver materials to customers, using a pallet jack and two-wheel dolly to load and unload, and ensure the delivery ticket accompanies the material.
Pick up customer returns and validate that products match credit requests.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report problems or issues to a supervisor.
Follow and implement company safety policies and procedures.
Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment and with receiving, verifying, staging, and stocking incoming material.
Work overtime as needed.
Follow safety regulations and use required personal protective equipment, including a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 pounds.
