About The Position

ABC Supply is hiring a CDL Delivery Truck Driver to make ground and rooftop deliveries while ensuring the safety of each delivery from departure from the facility through completion at the job site. The role involves following delivery schedules and directives, interacting professionally with customers, documenting deliveries, and coordinating material placement and unloading with a Delivery Material Handler. The driver may also perform warehouse work, including loading and unloading materials. This position does not require over-the-road travel, and drivers are home every night.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 75–100 pounds.
• Ability and willingness to work on rooftops.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug screens.

Responsibilities

• Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Conduct a safe work zone during each job site delivery.
• Follow the assigned delivery schedule and job directives precisely.
• Document each step of every delivery by taking and uploading photos using the company camera phone system.
• Complete a thorough truck load check before leaving the branch, ensuring materials are secured and the truck complies with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Work with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where to set materials and unload them.
• Complete and file logs and required government paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Provide customers with an invoice upon completion of each delivery and collect the full amount due on COD deliveries.
• Perform warehouse work as assigned, including loading and unloading materials onto or off trucks or into the warehouse.
