About The Position

ABC Supply is hiring a CDL Delivery Truck Driver to deliver building materials safely from the facility to customer job sites. The role follows an assigned delivery schedule, ensures materials and vehicles meet applicable safety and regulatory requirements, and includes customer service, delivery documentation, and payment collection for COD deliveries. The position does not require over-the-road travel and may include warehouse work, such as loading and unloading materials.

Requirements

Valid Class A or Class B CDL.
Ability to repeatedly lift 75–100 pounds.
Ability and willingness to work on rooftops.
Complete pre-employment and random drug screens.

Nice To Haves

Flatbed and/or straight truck experience.
Knuckle boom truck experience.
Trailer-mounted forklift experience.
Crane certification.
Hazmat endorsement.

Responsibilities

Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Establish a safe work zone at each job site.
Follow the assigned delivery schedule and job directives precisely.
Document each delivery step by taking and uploading photos using the camera phone system.
Complete a load check before leaving the branch, ensuring materials are secured and the truck complies with federal, state, and local regulations.
Work with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where to place materials and unload them.
Complete and file logs and required government paperwork accurately and promptly.
Provide the customer with an invoice after each delivery and collect the full amount due for COD deliveries.
Perform warehouse work as assigned, including loading and unloading materials on or off trucks or into the warehouse.
