About The Position

ABC Supply is hiring a CDL Delivery Truck Driver to make ground and rooftop deliveries while ensuring each delivery is completed safely from departure from the facility through completion at the job site. The position is based at a company facility and does not require over-the-road travel. Drivers work with a Delivery Material Handler to determine where to place materials and unload them. Warehouse work, including loading and unloading trucks or moving materials into the warehouse, may also be assigned. The driver is responsible for customer service, delivery documentation, vehicle and load compliance, required paperwork, and payment collection for COD deliveries.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 75–100 pounds.
• Ability and willingness to work on rooftops.
• Must complete pre-employment and random drug screens.

Nice To Haves

• Conveyor truck experience preferred.
• Drywall boom truck experience preferred.
• Crane certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Maintain a safe work zone at each job site.
• Follow the assigned delivery schedule and job directives precisely.
• Document each step of each delivery by taking and uploading photos using the camera phone system.
• Inspect the truck load before leaving the branch, securing delivery materials and ensuring the truck complies with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Coordinate with the Delivery Material Handler on material placement and unloading.
• Complete and file logs and required government paperwork accurately and on time.
• Provide customers with an invoice upon delivery and collect the full amount due on COD deliveries.
• Perform warehouse work as assigned, including loading and unloading materials from trucks or moving them into the warehouse.
• Make ground and rooftop deliveries.
