About The Position

ABC Supply is seeking a licensed CDL Driver to deliver building products. The driver is responsible for the safety of each delivery from departure from the facility through completion at the job site. Deliveries include both ground and rooftop deliveries. The position does not require over-the-road travel, and drivers are home every night. Duties may also include warehouse work, such as loading and unloading materials from trucks or in the warehouse.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 75–100 pounds.
• Ability and willingness to work on rooftops.
• Must complete pre-employment and random drug screens.
• Must be willing to roof load and assist in the warehouse as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Conveyor truck experience.
• Drywall boom truck experience.
• Crane certification.

Responsibilities

• Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Conduct a safe work zone at each job site.
• Follow the assigned delivery schedule and job directives precisely.
• Document each step of every delivery by taking and uploading photos using the camera phone system.
• Inspect the truck load before leaving the branch, ensuring materials are secured and the truck complies with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Coordinate with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where to place materials and unload them.
• Complete and file logs and required government paperwork accurately and on time.
• Provide customers with an invoice upon completion of each delivery and collect the full amount due for COD deliveries.
• Perform warehouse work as assigned, including loading and unloading materials from trucks or in the warehouse.
• Roof-load deliveries and assist in the warehouse as needed.
