About The Position

ABC Supply is hiring a CDL Delivery Truck Driver to make ground and rooftop deliveries of building materials. The driver is responsible for the safety of each delivery from departure from the facility through completion at the job site, while providing friendly, professional customer service and following delivery schedules and job directives. This role does not require over-the-road travel. Duties may also include warehouse work, such as loading and unloading materials.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 75–100 pounds.
• Ability and willingness to work on rooftops.
• Pre-employment and random drug screens are required.

Nice To Haves

• Conveyor and/or straight truck experience is preferred.
• Crane certification is preferred.
• Hazmat endorsement is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Maintain a safe work zone at each job site.
• Follow the assigned delivery schedule and job directives precisely.
• Document each delivery step by taking and uploading photos using the company camera phone system.
• Inspect the truck load before leaving the branch, ensuring materials are secured and the truck complies with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Coordinate with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where materials should be placed and unload them.
• Complete and file logs and required government paperwork accurately and on time.
• Provide customers with an invoice upon delivery and collect the full amount due for COD deliveries.
• Perform warehouse work as assigned, including loading and unloading materials from trucks or in the warehouse.
