About The Position

ABC Supply is hiring a CDL Delivery Truck Driver to deliver building materials safely from the branch to customer job sites. Drivers follow assigned delivery schedules, comply with applicable regulations, document deliveries, and coordinate with Delivery Material Handlers to place and unload materials. The position does not require over-the-road travel, and may also include warehouse work such as loading and unloading materials. Drivers are home every night.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 75–100 pounds.
• Completion of a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens is required.

Nice To Haves

• Flatbed truck experience preferred.
• Crane certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Conduct a safe work zone at each job site.
• Follow assigned delivery schedules and job directives precisely.
• Document each delivery by taking and uploading photos using the camera phone system.
• Complete a thorough truck load check before leaving the branch, ensuring materials are secured and the truck complies with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Work with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where to set materials and unload them.
• Complete and file logs and required government paperwork accurately and on time.
• Provide customers with an invoice after each delivery and collect the full amount due for COD deliveries.
• Perform warehouse work as assigned, including loading and unloading materials onto or off trucks or into the warehouse.
