CDL A Truck Driver - Paid Training for New CDL Drivers
About The Position
Fairfield is seeking CDL-A Truck Drivers, including those with a CDL-A but no prior driving experience. This role offers paid training for new CDL drivers and is part of a western regional fleet with short runs, typically returning home every 2 days. Drivers will gain experience riding with a trainer on real loads, earning $650 per week during training. Upon completion, drivers will move to their own truck with full pay, guaranteed at $1,000 per week for the first 3 months of solo driving. The job involves dry van freight across the 11 western states, with an average of 1,700 to 2,100 miles per week. Drivers can expect to be home every 2 weeks, with the option to run beyond the western states for more miles. Average weekly earnings range from $1,000 to $1,300, with a standard mileage pay scale that increases with experience, up to 6 cents per mile extra in performance bonus, and $15 stop pay.
Requirements
- Class A CDL
- 21 or older
- No more than 2 moving violations in 2 years
- Able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- CDL-A in hand, no experience: 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school
- Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12 months in the last 5 years
Responsibilities
