About The Position

High Desert drivers in Hesperia: this Western fleet keeps you west of the Mississippi, keeps most runs to 3 days or less, and trains new CDL holders on real freight. New CDL-A holders are welcome to apply. This position offers 4 to 6 weeks of over the road training with an experienced trainer, guaranteed weekly training pay, then straight to full solo driver pay. Some winter driving in the mountains may be required. Holidays off can be worked out with your driver leader when possible.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL.
• New CDL-A holders must have completed at least 120 hours at an accredited CDL school.
• Experienced drivers must have 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12+ months in the past 5 years.
• Military experience considered with a valid DD214.
• Valid license in your current state of residence.
• Verifiable work history for the past 3 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years.
• No major preventable accidents in the last 5 years.
• No DUI/DWI in the past 5 to 10 years.
• Must pass hair and urine drug testing.

• Option to run further if you want more miles.

Responsibilities

• Drive trucks west of the Mississippi River.
• Complete runs that are typically 3 days or less.
• Undergo training for new CDL holders on real freight.
• Work with a driver leader to arrange holidays off when possible.
• Complete 4 to 6 weeks of over the road training with an experienced trainer.
• Accept day and night dispatches.
• Perform some winter driving in the mountains.
