About The Position

Louisville-area Class A drivers are needed for eastern OTR miles, with home time every two weeks. This position is ideal for drivers who have just obtained their CDL and need a company to start with. New CDL-A drivers will train with an experienced mentor, receive paid training, and then transition to solo driving at full mileage pay. The loads remain within the eastern states, ensuring steady miles and familiar lanes. Drivers can expect to earn between $1,200 to $1,400 per week, approximately $62,400 to $72,800 annually, with a starting pay of $0.55 per mile, increasing annually up to $0.65 per mile. Drivers will average about 2,500 miles per week and receive $15 per stop after the first. Weekly direct deposit is provided. The typical work schedule involves OTR lanes across the eastern states, with a mix of drop-and-hook and live freight. Drivers will be out for approximately two weeks, then home for their reset. The role includes planned loads and day and night dispatch. For new graduates with 120 school hours, paid mentor training is provided before going solo, after which they will receive the full solo rate. Drivers will be assigned a take-home truck, either automatic or 10-speed, approximately 1.5 years old, with 24/7 dispatch available.

Requirements

Class A CDL in your home state.
Must be 21 or older.
New grad (120+ hours) or verifiable experience.
Acceptable driving record, with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years.
No DUI/DWI in the past 10 years.
Must pass a DOT physical.
Must pass a hair and urine screen.

Responsibilities

Drive OTR lanes across the eastern states.
Transport a mix of drop-and-hook and live freight.
Adhere to a schedule of being out for approximately two weeks, then home for reset.
Accept planned loads and dispatch instructions for day and night.
Complete paid mentor training before transitioning to solo driving.
Maintain an acceptable driving record.
