Entry-level CDL-A truck driving position serving a food customer, with preloaded trailers and recurring lanes primarily through Ohio, Illinois, and Iowa. Drivers typically travel about 2,200 miles per week, are paid per mile with additional pay for extra stops, and return home weekly for a 34-hour reset. Some loads travel to Georgia and back, and routes may change. The role includes both day and night dispatches and driving in cold weather. The hiring process begins with a recruiter phone call to review the applicant’s license and driving record. Orientation takes place in Columbus and lasts up to two days; it pays $300 once hired. Drivers then complete four to six weeks of paid, on-the-road training alongside a trainer, learning backing, trip planning, logs, and fueling. Training pay is $850 per week. Trailers are preloaded, and most deliveries use drop-and-hook. The company covers the orientation hotel and reimburses the one-way bus ticket. Average weekly pay is $1,400. Starting mileage pay is $0.60 per mile and can rise to $0.70 with experience; extra stops pay $25 each. After passing 30 days, benefits include medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, a 401(k), an employee stock plan, paid time off, and access to a tuition-free online degree for the driver and one family member. Applicants must live within 80 miles of Fremont.
