About The Position

This entry-level dedicated driving position serves a retail account on round-trip routes across New York City, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Drivers receive paid on-the-road training with an experienced mentor at $850 per week, then move into the dedicated fleet after being signed off. The role averages about 2,100 miles per week and provides weekly home time from the first job. Average weekly gross pay is $1,700 to $2,000 at $0.85 to $0.90 per mile, with an additional $75 for each delivery into the NYC boroughs. The work includes city driving in NYC and North Jersey, day and night shifts, and weekend and holiday work. There is no time off during peak season from October through December. Medical, dental, and vision coverage begin after 30 days. Other listed benefits include a 401(k) with company match and paid time off. Orientation pay is $300, and travel to orientation is covered.

Requirements

Hold a Class A CDL.
Be at least 21 years old.
Have completed at least 120 hours at an accredited CDL school.
Live in New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut; Bronx residents are not eligible at this time.
Have no more than two moving violations in the past two years.
Have no major preventable accidents in the past five years.
Pass hair and urine drug testing and a DOT physical.

Responsibilities

Complete round-trip dedicated retail runs across New York City, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

Make deliveries, including deliveries into the NYC boroughs.
Work approximately 2,100 miles per week.
Work weekends and holidays; no time off is available during peak season from October through December.
