About The Position

This position is designed for new drivers, including recent CDL graduates or those returning to driving after a break. The fleet is based in Jurupa Valley and hires drivers around Palmdale, Lancaster, Quartz Hill, and Rosamond. The role involves refrigerated freight transport primarily within California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, and sometimes Utah. Drivers will undergo paid mentor training for 3 to 5 weeks before going solo, ensuring readiness. The schedule typically involves 12 to 14 days out with home time every other weekend. Weekly mileage ranges from 1,800 to 2,200 miles. It's important to note that the truck remains at the Jurupa Valley yard during home time.

Requirements

• Class A CDL
• At least 21 years of age
• Recent CDL graduate or returning driver
• 2 or fewer moving violations in the past 2 years
• No DUI/DWI in the past 10 years
• Must pass a DOT physical
• Must pass a hair and urine drug test

Nice To Haves

• Approved adult rider allowed.
• One dog under 40 lbs allowed after training.

Responsibilities

• Drive refrigerated freight primarily within California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, and sometimes Utah.
• Complete paid mentor training for 3 to 5 weeks.
• Operate a Freightliner truck, averaging 1.5 years old, with automatic or 10-speed transmission.
• Handle no-touch freight, with some appointments for live load or unload.
• Adhere to a schedule of approximately 12 to 14 days out, with home time every other weekend.
• Maintain weekly mileage of 1,800–2,200 miles.
• Participate in a monthly bonus program based on mileage and safe driving.
• Receive stop pay for extra stops and additional pay for short loads.
• Benefit from a weekly minimum pay guarantee for the first 3 months solo.

Benefits

• Orientation pay: $300 for up to 2 days
• Mentor training pay: $850 per week
• Average weekly pay: $1,000–$1,300
• Monthly bonus up to $0.06 per mile
• Stop pay: $25 for the first extra stop, $35 for each subsequent stop
• $25 extra on short loads (25–99 miles)
• $1,000 weekly minimum for the first 3 months solo
