About The Position

We are seeking a CDL-A Owner Operator for TransAm, currently hiring in the Norfolk, VA area. This role offers the flexibility to run under the carrier's authority or your own, with competitive percentage or flat per-mile rates. Fuel discounts and support programs are available. Candidates must possess a valid CDL-A and either own their truck or arrange financing.

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
• Minimum 3 months minimum of verifiable CDL-A driving experience
• Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) — no more than 3 minor violations in 3 years
• No DUI/DWI convictions
• Must pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen
• No at-fault preventable accidents in the past 3 years
• Must be located within or willing to operate in the carrier's hiring area
• Must have valid CDL-A and your own truck or arrange financing

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial truck under the carrier's authority or your own.
• Adhere to all DOT regulations and company policies.
• Maintain a clean MVR and a safe driving record.
• Pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen.
• Operate within the carrier's hiring area.
