About The Position

Trimac is hiring a CDL-A owner operator to haul various chemicals on local and regional routes. Pickups are at various locations in South Carolina. Regional destinations include SC, NC, GA, AL, KY, VA, TN, OH, WI, IN, MS, and TX; local destinations include NC, SC, GA, TN, and VA. Drivers travel 2,000–3,000 miles per week and are out 2–3 nights per week.

Pay is by mileage: $1.89 per loaded mile and $1.37 per empty mile, plus a fuel surcharge. The posting also lists average weekly gross pay of $5,000–$6,800, weekly direct deposit, and paid orientation. Qualified candidates are eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• At least 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
• At least 6 months of valid tanker experience.
• Pass Trimac's safety assessment.
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
• A 2010 or newer tractor.
• TWIC.
• No driving violation involving the consumption of illegal or intoxicating substances in the past 7 years.
• No preventable rollover or fatality crash in the past 7 years.
• No license suspensions involving drugs and/or alcohol, or record indicating disregard for public safety, in the past 3 years.
• No major preventable accident in the past 3 years.
• Fewer than two moving convictions in the past 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Haul various chemicals on local and regional routes.
• Pick up loads at various locations in South Carolina and deliver to specified local and regional destinations.
• Drive approximately 2,000–3,000 miles per week.
