About The Position

Drive a dedicated local auto parts account based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Deliveries use dry van trailers and include multi-stop routes and shuttle runs. Drivers unload freight at each stop using a liftgate and electric pallet jack and operate new automatic Freightliner daycabs. A valid hazmat endorsement is required. The position offers daily home time and an overnight schedule starting at 6:00 PM. Drivers work five days per week with two consecutive days off. Schedule options include Sunday–Thursday, Monday–Friday, Tuesday–Saturday, Thursday–Saturday, and split schedules. Shifts are 8–12 hours, averaging approximately 45 hours per week. Pay is weekly, with average annual pay of $85,000 and average weekly pay of $1,635. Mileage pay is $0.739 per mile, and stop pay is $25 per stop. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered, with the first payment after 30 days.

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL.
At least 9 months of tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years.
Valid hazmat endorsement.
Clean driving record.
Valid DOT Medical Card.
Must be at least 22 years old.
No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years, subject to restrictions.
No more than 1 DOT-recordable preventable accident in the past 3 years.
Must create a profile in the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse before hiring.
Must meet English language requirements for communication, reading traffic signs, responding to official inquiries, and completing reports and records.
No SAP drivers.
