Local CDL-A Hazmat Driver – $5k Sign-On Bonus + Benefits
About The Position
This local CDL-A Hazmat Driver position serves a dedicated auto parts account from Chicago, Illinois. Drivers make dry van deliveries on multi-stop routes and shuttle runs, unloading at each stop with a liftgate and electric pallet jack. Routes are overnight, and drivers return home daily. The schedule is five days per week with two consecutive days off, with options including Sunday–Thursday, Monday–Friday, Tuesday–Saturday, and split schedules. The position averages approximately 47 hours per week. Average annual pay is $80,000, with average weekly pay of approximately $1,550. Compensation includes $0.698 per mile and $25 per stop. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered, with the first payment after 30 days. Employees are paid weekly.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- At least 9 months of tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years.
- Must be at least 22 years old.
- No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years, subject to restrictions.
- No more than 1 DOT-recordable preventable accident in the past 3 years.
- Valid DOT Medical Card.
- No SAP drivers.
- Meet federal English-language proficiency requirements.
- Create an FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse profile before hire.
- Required hazmat endorsement.
